A law firm in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a Patent Agent specializing in Immunology/Virology. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology with at least 3+ years of experience in prosecuting patents within the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space. They will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, responding to office actions, conducting prior art searches, and assisting in opinion preparation.

 

Duties:

  • Draft patent applications in the fields of immunotherapy, gene therapy, cell therapy, and related areas
  • Prosecute patent applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • Respond to office actions and communicate with patent examiners
  • Conduct prior art searches to assess patentability
  • Assist in the preparation of opinions related to patent matters
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop patent strategies
  • Stay updated with advancements in immunology, virology, and molecular biology
  • Ensure compliance with USPTO regulations and guidelines

 

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology
