Duties

  • Conducting patent preparation and prosecution for medical devices and mechanical products.
  • Drafting and reviewing patent applications and office action responses.
  • Conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
  • Providing legal counsel on intellectual property matters related to medical devices and mechanical engineering.
  • Collaborating with inventors, engineers, and clients to understand and protect innovations.

Requirements

  • A high level of academic achievement.
  • 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering.
  • Other engineering disciplines with substantial patent experience in medical devices and/or mechanical products will be considered.
  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
