Duties:

  • Represent clients in energy-related litigation, including matters related to oil, gas, and other energy sectors.
  • Manage and oversee case files, ensuring timely progress and adherence to client expectations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation, discovery, and strategy development.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring precision and clarity.
  • Conduct legal research to support ongoing litigation efforts.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing regular updates on case developments.

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, with a preference for energy-related matters.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong academic record and legal writing capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is highly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
