Litigation Attorney

A Houston-based law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join its trial team. Location:

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

• Litigate complex matters in state and federal courts

• Conduct legal research and apply findings to case strategies

• Advise clients based on fact analysis and applicable laws or regulations

• Negotiate settlements and contractual provisions

• Draft and review agreements related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures

• Communicate legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues

• Use project management tools to track litigation timelines and deadlines

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of litigation experience required

• Strong familiarity with both federal and state laws and court procedures

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Comfortable managing a busy caseload in a high-paced legal environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Texas

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills

• Strong verbal communication and negotiation abilities

• Proficient in legal research tools and case management software

• Client-focused with the ability to simplify complex legal issues

• Organizational and time-management skills, including the use of project tracking software
