Job Overview:

The Personal Injury Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in personal injury cases, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and advocating for clients in various legal proceedings. The role involves client communication, deposition management, mediation leadership, case strategy development, and trial representation.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Lead mediations and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Develop comprehensive case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury law or civil litigation.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Proficiency in drafting and responding to motions.
  • Thorough understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
