A law firm seeks an Associate Immigration Attorney in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of immigration matters, providing high-quality legal representation, and collaborating with legal assistants and other attorneys. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate the U.S. immigration system.

Duties

  • Interact with clients, governmental agencies, courts, and other law firms.
  • Draft complex case matters including affidavits, motions, and appeals.
  • Organize and prioritize case schedules.
  • Handle cases from inception to completion.
  • Review and approve documents and filings accurately.
  • Conduct client consultations and develop case strategies.
  • Prepare and file petitions, applications, and briefs with relevant agencies.
  • Appear before immigration courts and USCIS interviews.
  • Maintain client communication and provide updates.
  • Collaborate with paralegals to ensure filing accuracy.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on immigration laws.
  • Manage deadlines and case milestones using case management software.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 1-3 years of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Admission to State Bar (Required).
  • Strong knowledge of immigration statutes and procedures.
  • Excellent legal writing and research skills.
  • Exceptional communication and client service abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with immigration case management systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; additional languages a plus.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Adobe Acrobat.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to State Bar.

Skills
