Duties

  • Draft legal briefs and motions for removal proceedings before the Executive Office of Immigration Review.
  • Develop legal defenses tailored to client needs in immigration cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft federal court litigation documents.
  • Prepare persuasive correspondence to administrative agencies and respond to evidence requests.
  • Assist with high-volume family-based immigration cases, including marriage-based adjustments and waivers.
  • Prepare immigration petitions and applications, assessing eligibility and developing evidence.
  • Conduct case meetings with legal assistants and case managers.
  • Consult with senior attorneys on case strategy and potential issues.
  • Maintain organized client files and monitor case progress.
  • Contribute to the development of efficient practice processes.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive proficiency in Basic Spanish.
  • Ability to independently address common legal issues.
  • Effective caseload and deadline management skills.
  • Awareness of legal developments and agency practices.
  • Strong understanding of individual client needs.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent.

Certifications

  • State Bar Membership.
