Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney for its Charlotte, North Carolina office. This role focuses on litigation, courtroom representation, and effective case resolution within the area of creditors’ rights. The position is on-site and ideal for attorneys who are comfortable with court appearances, legal drafting, and managing a high-volume caseload.

Location

  • Charlotte, North Carolina

Duties

  • Prepare for and attend court hearings within a reasonable travel radius; some court locations may require overnight travel.

  • Coordinate and submit necessary documentation for court coverage when unable to appear in person.

  • Draft, review, and file mid-litigation motions and responses as required.

  • Assist with trial and arbitration preparation, including travel to distant counties if needed.

  • Communicate with consumers, attorneys, and employers to support the resolution of cases.

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in the State of North Carolina.

  • Additional bar admissions (e.g., SC, IA, MO, KS, IL, NY, NE, ID, CA, WA, OR, AK, HI, NV) are considered advantageous.

  • Ability to appear consistently and punctually in court using personal transportation.

  • Willingness to travel; reimbursed in accordance with IRS mileage rates and firm policy.

  • Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

  • Additional state bar certifications are a plus.
