A law firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney for its office in Norcross, GA.

Job Overview:

The Immigration Attorney will manage removal defense and complex immigration cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in removal defense and immigration law, including family-based immigration and asylum cases. They should possess strong interpersonal, research, and writing skills and be capable of overseeing the entire case process from initiation to completion.

Duties:

  • Manage removal defense and complex immigration cases
  • Attend EOIR hearings and USCIS interviews
  • Draft, review, and file writs, briefs, motions, pleadings, waivers, responses to RFE and NOID
  • Conduct legal research
  • Collaborate with clients and support staff
  • Perform/complete any other tasks as may be assigned by the Managing Attorney

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of removal defense experience
  • Minimum 4 years of immigration law experience (preferably with a strong background in removal defense, family-based immigration, and asylum)
  • Admitted to practice law in the U.S. (Georgia Bar admission preferred) and in good standing
  • Excellent interpersonal, research, and writing skills
  • Ability to oversee/manage the entire case from initiation to completion

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar in the U.S. (Georgia Bar admission preferred)

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
