A law firm in Orlando, FL, is seeking a First Party Litigator with expertise in first-party property claims and/or PIP litigation. The successful candidate will manage a substantial caseload from inception to post-trial, attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, and prepare all relevant litigation documents. This role requires strong oral advocacy, persuasive writing skills, and the ability to evaluate cases. The First Party Litigator will also develop client relationships, travel to various courthouses, meet billing requirements, and maintain a good standing with the Florida Bar.

Duties:

  • Manage a significant caseload from case inception through post-trial.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare pleadings, discovery documents, responses, motions, and other litigation-related materials.
  • Provide timely reports to insurance carriers and clients regarding case status and ongoing activities.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through relationship-building methods.
  • Travel to various courthouses and locations as required for case representation.
  • Meet monthly billing requirements and maintain accurate time records.
  • Utilize knowledge and experience in first-party property claims and/or PIP litigation.
  • Demonstrate expertise in all phases of litigation, from pleadings to trial.
  • Take and defend depositions effectively.
  • Use strong oral advocacy skills and deliver persuasive written arguments.
  • Evaluate cases for their legal merits and potential outcomes.
  • Maintain good standing membership with the Florida Bar.
  • Possess working knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in first-party property claims and/or PIP litigation.
  • Expertise in all phases of litigation, from pleadings through trial.
  • Strong oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and arguments.
  • Ability to evaluate cases for legal merits and potential outcomes.
  • Active membership with the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
