Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview
A reputable law firm based in Long Beach, California, is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience. This role involves handling a broad range of litigation tasks including discovery, hearings, depositions, and trials. Experience with trust, estate, and probate matters is a plus but not required. The successful candidate will work from the firm’s Long Beach office with eligibility for a hybrid schedule after the training period.

Location

Duties

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters

• Draft and respond to discovery requests

• Conduct legal research and write supporting legal memoranda

• Attend court hearings, including motion hearings and case management conferences

• Take and defend depositions

• Prepare for and conduct trials

• Interview and assist clients throughout legal proceedings

• Handle additional legal tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 3–4 years of civil litigation experience as a licensed attorney

• Ability to independently manage cases and meet deadlines

• Experience with estate administration or probate litigation is preferred but not mandatory

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and good standing membership with the State Bar of California
