A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a robust background in renewables to complement its current energy practice. The ideal candidate will counsel clients on various renewables projects, focusing on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. Preferred experience includes knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities, as well as smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. The candidate should possess a portable book of business and have a JD degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing of the Bar is required. The Litigation Attorney will provide legal counsel to clients on renewables projects, emphasizing facilities operations and power purchase agreements. This role requires in-depth knowledge of renewables, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities, as well as familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency.

 

Duties:

  • Counsel clients on various renewable projects
  • Provide legal advice on facilities operations and power purchase agreements
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to renewables projects
  • Draft legal documents and agreements
  • Represent clients in litigation proceedings as necessary
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm

 

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing of the Bar
  • 10+ years of experience in litigation, with a focus on renewables
  • Demonstrated expertise in wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities
  • Knowledge of smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency
  • Portable book of business preferred

 

Education:

JD degree from an accredited law school
