A law firm is seeking an attorney for its Miami, FL, location.

Job Overview:

The Attorney will provide comprehensive legal support in real estate finance law, focusing on loan origination, asset management, and workout experience. The ideal candidate will possess high academic achievement, solid large law firm experience, and exceptional writing and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to real estate finance transactions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including loan agreements, mortgage documents, and contracts.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding real estate finance matters.
  • Manage transactions on behalf of lenders from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and other legal proceedings related to real estate finance.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 5+ years of broad real estate finance experience, preferably in a large law firm setting.
  • Experience in origination of structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
  • Demonstrated experience in asset management and workout situations.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance laws, regulations, and industry practices.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
