Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Collaborate with attorneys and operational teams to understand procedural requirements across jurisdictions

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, local rules, and internal protocols related to bankruptcy filings

  • Review critical documentation, including proofs of claim, payment change notices, and cost notifications

  • Prepare motions, objections, pleadings, letters, and related legal documentation

  • Represent clients in court hearings, settlement conferences, and other legal proceedings

  • Maintain client relationships through timely updates and professional communication

  • Respond promptly to court personnel, opposing counsel, trustees, and other stakeholders

  • Escalate issues as appropriate and participate in firm-wide process improvement initiatives

  • Contribute to other legal responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across varied audiences

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Capacity to work well both independently and in collaborative settings

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new areas of practice

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited institution

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction)

Skills:

  • Prior experience in the mortgage servicing or bankruptcy field is advantageous

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Exposure to high-volume legal practice or production-based environments is a plus
