Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Restructuring & Insolvency Associate to join their Dallas office. The position focuses on corporate and commercial restructurings, loan workouts, chapter 11 cases, bankruptcy litigation, and other insolvency-related matters. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience handling multiple matters simultaneously, including lender remedies and distressed transactions. This role requires collaboration within a team and the ability to manage complex cases independently.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Manage and run corporate and commercial restructurings and loan workouts
  • Handle chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and related litigation
  • Advise clients on insolvency-related matters
  • Draft loan and security documents for distressed transactions
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts regarding lender remedies
  • Collaborate with a team to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents, strategies, and case management

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy law
  • Experience with corporate restructurings, loan workouts, and bankruptcy litigation
  • Ability to manage and handle multiple matters at once
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Experience with lender remedies and distressed transactions
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to the bar in the state of Texas (or willing to do so)

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of bankruptcy law, restructuring, and insolvency-related matters
  • Ability to draft loan and security documents
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Capable of managing complex legal matters under tight deadlines
