Job Overview

Duties

  • Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.

  • Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
  • Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of practice experience in workers' compensation preferred.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina or have pending bar exam results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent.

Certifications

  • Bar license in North Carolina.
