Mid-Level Debt Finance Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Debt Finance Associate Attorney to join their team in Short Hills, NJ. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience handling upmarket bilateral, syndicated, and sponsor-backed deals for banks and private credit funds. They should have a strong academic background from nationally recognized schools and must be admitted to practice in NJ.

Job Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience handling upmarket bilateral, syndicated, and sponsor-backed deals for banks and private credit funds.
• Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
• Must be admitted to practice in NJ.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in New Jersey.
