A law firm in Madison is actively seeking a Junior to Midlevel IP Associate Attorney specializing in Life Sciences. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of patent prosecution experience, a degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry, or a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Admission to the USPTO is preferred. This role requires excellent academic credentials, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to draft patent applications.

 

Duties:

  • Focus on patent prosecution in the Life Sciences sector.
  • Draft patent applications and manage patent prosecution matters.

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 2+ years of patent prosecution experience at a law firm or in-house.
  • Degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry, or a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
  • Preferably admitted to the USPTO.

 

Skills:

  • Ability to draft patent applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
