A law firm based in New York City is seeking a Private Equity Resource Attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US PE corporate/transactional practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with the M&A resource attorney and knowledge management team to assist with M&A/PE data and experience input and maintenance, while also managing various tasks related to the Private Equity practice group. The Private Equity Resource Attorney will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's Private Equity practice group by assisting with document drafting, knowledge management, legal research, and training initiatives. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and drafting skills, as well as expertise in private equity transactions and related regulatory matters.

 

Duties:

  • Assist with M&A/PE data and experience input and maintenance
  • Prepare drafts or revise existing precedent of template documents
  • Curate and organize the PE group's forms, precedents, and other know-how
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relative to PE practice and the firm's core industry verticals
  • Develop and maintain the internal landing page for the PE group
  • Coordinate with the firm's legal education team to prepare content for associate trainings
  • Collaborate with the PE/M&A marketing team to strategize on firm PE promotion and assist with content creation
  • Work with the quantitative analyst group on matters specific to PE funds and transactions
  • Assist with resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects
  • Field day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other resources
  • Maintain mastery of the substantive area of practice undertaken by the Private Equity practice group
  • Provide expertise on private equity transactions, general portfolio company management, equity compensation, M&A acquisition financing, and other financial transactions

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US PE corporate/transactional practice
  • Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills
  • Mastery of substantive areas of practice within Private Equity
  • Knowledge of industries commonly advised by the firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and drafting skills
  • Strong intellectual ability, interpersonal, and technical skills
  • Organizational and time management skills; attention to detail
