Associate Attorney needed for New Orleans office

Job Overview: A law firm in New Orleans, LA, seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience focusing on Insurance Defense, Professional Liability, Construction Defect, Maritime, Employer's Liability/Workers' Compensation, and/or Corporate Contracts.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
• Manage and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing law.
• Experience in Insurance Defense, Professional Liability, Construction Defect, Maritime, Employer's Liability/Workers' Compensation, and/or Corporate Contracts preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
• Additional licensing in Texas and/or Mississippi would be beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar Association.
