A law firm in Wilmington is seeking a Litigation Family Law Attorney with 2-6 years of litigation experience. The candidate will proactively manage family law cases from beginning to end, providing superior customer service to clients, making improvement recommendations to practice managers, and managing performance metrics.

 

Duties:

  • Manage family law cases from inception to resolution.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, including regular status reports and case reviews.
  • Offer improvement recommendations to practice managers for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize practice quality software to track accomplishments and client satisfaction metrics.
  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support.
  • Conduct legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve case objectives.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited university.
  • Passed the Bar Exam on the first attempt.
  • 1st chair family law experience.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of NC.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical programs and software.

 

Experience:

  • 2-6 years of litigation experience.
  • Education & Certifications:
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited university.
  • Admission to the Bar in the state of NC.

 

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills with a focus on family law matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Familiarity with practice management software and tools.
