Mid-Level Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Mid-Level Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience. Borrower-side representation is key, with a preference for candidates experienced in working with private equity sponsors.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in private equity finance transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various transaction documents, including credit, security, and inter-creditor agreements.
• Conduct due diligence reviews and analysis of potential financing opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to develop and implement financing strategies.
• Assist in the structuring and execution of complex financing transactions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
• 2 years of experience in private credit, acquisition, or leveraged finance.
• Demonstrated experience with borrower-side representation.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience working with private equity sponsors.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
