A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a General Liability Defense Litigation Attorney. The attorney will manage a high-volume caseload of complex litigation cases, providing legal representation to insurance carrier clients. The role involves working with an experienced Partner to develop litigation strategies and deliver excellent service to clients. The attorney should have a foundation in defending clients in various litigation matters, including personal injury, medical malpractice, and insurance defense.

Duties:

• Manage a high-volume caseload of complex litigation cases.
• Provide legal representation to insurance carrier clients.
• Work closely with an experienced Partner to discuss litigation strategy and client service.
• Defend clients in various litigation matters, including personal injury, medical malpractice, and insurance defense.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Prepare for and attend court appearances and hearings.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Strong foundation in general liability defense litigation.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Legal research and analytical abilities.
• Negotiation and mediation skills.
