Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a Business Immigration Associate to join its team, supporting employment-based immigration matters for corporate clients. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience and a strong interest in nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. This role provides a valuable opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with experienced immigration attorneys and support staff.

Location:

  • Rochester, NY

Duties:

  • Support clients in all areas of employment-based immigration law

  • Conduct legal research on immigration policies and case law developments

  • Prepare and file employment-based visa petitions, including:

    • E-1/E-2

    • H-1B

    • L-1

    • O-1

    • EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3

  • Maintain accurate client records and track filing deadlines

  • Ensure timely submission of petitions and related documentation

  • Communicate with clients and government agencies under the supervision of senior attorneys

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in business immigration law

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex caseloads and meet deadlines

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality client service in a fast-paced legal environment

  • Strong academic foundation and legal acumen

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong legal research and drafting capabilities

  • Familiarity with employment-based visa categories and USCIS procedures

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
