Immigration Partner

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a seasoned Immigration Partner to lead its employment-based immigration practice. This role is ideal for a senior attorney with over a decade of experience in business immigration law, including a proven ability to advise corporate clients, manage legal teams, and grow a practice. The successful candidate will be expected to bring a strong client portfolio and provide high-level counsel on nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters, while playing a key leadership role in firm-wide immigration strategy.

Location:

• Rochester, NY

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on complex business immigration matters, including:

  • Nonimmigrant visa classifications: E-1, E-2, H-1B, L-1, O-1

  • Employment-based immigrant petitions: EB-1, EB-2, EB-3

  • Adjustment of status and related processes

• Offer strategic advice to corporate clients across diverse industries

• Ensure compliance with evolving U.S. immigration laws and policies

• Lead client relationship management with an emphasis on risk mitigation and operational efficiency

• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups to deliver integrated legal services

• Develop and implement business development initiatives

• Expand client portfolio through new and existing relationships

• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to team development

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business immigration law

• Portable client base with corporate immigration matters

• Proven leadership in client service, team development, and legal operations

• Strong track record of handling high-volume and high-complexity matters

• Demonstrated success in growing and managing a legal practice

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

• Eligibility for admission in New York or New Jersey preferred, depending on location

• Deep understanding of U.S. immigration law, including corporate and compliance issues
