A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with the following responsibilities, requirements, and qualifications:

Job Overview: The Employment Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for defending and litigating lawsuits about various employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination. The role involves representing employers in different legal settings, including courtrooms, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination
  • Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters
  • Handle class/collective actions and cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete agreements

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • 3+ years of experience, with a strong background in employment law preferred
  • Current New York Bar admission or ability to obtain admission
  • Understanding of current agency procedures at both state and federal levels

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with class action litigation
  • Previous involvement in higher education-related cases
