A law firm in Harrisburg is seeking a Patent Agent specializing in Immunology/Virology with a Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology. The ideal candidate must have 3+ years of experience prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space. Strong academic credentials and admission to practice before the USPTO are required.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of immunotherapy, gene therapy, cell therapy, and related areas
  • Respond to office actions from the USPTO
  • Assist in the preparation of legal opinions related to patentability, infringement, and validity
  • Conduct prior art searches to assess patentability and support patent prosecution
  • Collaborate with inventors, attorneys, and scientific experts to develop patent strategies
  • Stay updated on developments in immunology, virology, and patent law

 

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology
  • Admission to practice before the USPTO
  • 3+ years of experience prosecuting patents in immunology and molecular biology therapeutic areas
