A law firm in Wilmington, DE, is seeking an Attorney to efficiently evaluate and handle cases, representing the firm and its clients with integrity and adherence to core values. The candidate will engage in a variety of legal tasks, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and representing clients in trials and hearings.

Duties:

• Serve clients by efficiently evaluating and handling cases
• Represent the firm in accordance with Core Values
• Facilitate timely communications with vendors, clients, and outside counsel
• Build and maintain rapport with clients
• Create budgets and monitor expenses, recommending cost-saving opportunities
• Draft and file pleadings
• Perform discovery requests and factual investigations
• Conduct legal research as needed
• Compose routine and dispositive motions
• Interview clients and witnesses
• Prepare and conduct depositions
• Engage in legal writing
• Participate in trials and hearings
• Select and retain experts
• Evaluate cases for potential resolution
• Supervise paralegal staff
• Enter billable time accurately
• Manage team members effectively
• Update professional knowledge through educational opportunities and Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
• Maintain productivity in volume of work or billable time
• Work well both independently and as part of a team
• Handle voluminous paperwork efficiently
• Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Exhibit strong organizational skills

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in the legal industry preferred
• Active, good standing with the Delaware Bar
• Admission to the Delaware Bar

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
