A law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Associate Attorney to represent clients in workers' compensation defense. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, with a preference for prior experience in workers' compensation.

 

Job Duties:

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation defense cases
  • Handle claims from inception through closure under partner supervision
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to workers' compensation laws and regulations
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings
  • Assist with case management and strategy development
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case matters
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and records

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
  • 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense preferred
  • Newly admitted members of the State Bar of Georgia are also encouraged to apply
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals
  • Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
