Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced business transactional attorney to join its Durham, NC office. The firm is expanding its strategic practice areas and is looking for attorneys with a portable transactional practice to contribute to its growth and legacy.

Duties

  • Develop and manage a transactional practice in commercial real estate, trusts and estates, corporate law, and M&A.
  • Provide labor and employment counseling on the management side.
  • Advise on tax, cybersecurity, and data privacy matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and offices.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Proven ability to develop and retain clients.
  • Portable book of business or track record of originating business of $200,000 or more annually.
  • Collaborative, growth-minded approach to practice development.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
