A law firm in Charlotte is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 6+ years of experience in IP litigation, preferably with trial experience. The ideal candidate should have a technical background in software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical areas. They must possess strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality client service. The attorney will work closely with experienced lawyers, receive active mentoring, and have opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property litigation matters.
  • Draft substantive pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Organize, conduct, and manage discovery practices, including e-discovery.
  • Participate in hearings and depositions.
  • Interface directly with clients and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Work closely with experienced lawyers on case strategy and management.
  • Assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.

 

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
  • Technical background in software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical areas.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Trial experience preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service.
