A law firm is seeking a Private Companies Resource Attorney for their Chicago, IL office. This role involves extensive involvement in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects, focusing on Private Companies, Life Sciences Regulatory, and Digital Health practices. The ideal candidate must be a licensed attorney with 3-5 years of experience in a US corporate/transactional practice.

Duties:

• Prepare, improve, annotate, and automate template documents.
• Curate and organize forms, precedents, and other know-how.
• Develop training and educational content in collaboration with the legal education team.
• Coordinate with lawyers across practice groups and other personnel for resource review, updating, and contributions.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to practice areas and prepare summaries and alerts.
• Develop content for publications, teach-ins, and external-facing resources.
• Handle day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and resources.
• Participate in various resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

• Licensed attorney with 3-5 years of experience in a US corporate/transactional practice.
• Well-developed skill set in working with larger, later-stage private companies and typical transactions.
• A background or interest in life sciences and digital health is preferred.
• Strong drafting skills are required.
• Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Associate experience running closings and coordinating diligence/disclosures on transactions is beneficial.
• Detailed drafting and analysis skills are needed for template documents.
