Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly experienced Litigation Of Counsel with a science background, particularly in MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills and a strong background in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation, preferably gained from an AmLaw 100 firm.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• J.D. degree.
• 8+ years of litigation experience.
• DE Bar admission.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.
• Preferably 8 years of litigation experience gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) must be considered.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Prefer candidates with immediately transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools.

Certifications:

• DE Bar admission.

Skills:

• Superior research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize is also required.
