A law firm in Wilmington is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience in commercial, corporate, or professional liability cases. The ideal candidate will independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, oversee extensive discovery practices, regularly handle court appearances and depositions, and communicate effectively with clients to provide status reports.

 

Duties:

  • Independently manage a litigation caseload, handling cases from inception to resolution.
  • Oversee extensive discovery practices, including document production, interrogatories, and depositions.
  • Regularly appear in court and conduct depositions on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate with clients to provide case updates and status reports.
  • Conduct legal research and writing, drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Delaware.
  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience in commercial, corporate, or professional liability cases.
  • Strong discovery skills and experience overseeing extensive discovery practices.
  • Superior academic credentials with outstanding research and writing skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Delaware.
