Job Overview: The law firm seeks an experienced Environmental Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of relevant experience in litigation and regulatory matters about federal and state environmental laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental permitting, renewable energy development, due diligence, enforcement actions, and contaminated properties. This role requires excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills and direct client interaction. A New York Bar or Washington, D.C. license is mandatory for this position.


  • Handle litigation and regulatory matters related to federal and state environmental laws.
  • Provide legal counsel on environmental permitting issues.
  • Assist in renewable energy development projects.
  • Conduct environmental due diligence assessments.
  • Represent clients in environmental enforcement actions.
  • Advise on legal matters concerning contaminated properties.


  • 4-6 years of experience in environmental law.
  • Strong background in litigation and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in federal and state environmental laws.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Direct client interaction experience.
  • New York Bar or Washington, D.C. license.


  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


  • Admission to the New York Bar or Washington, D.C. Bar.


  • Proficiency in environmental law and regulations.
  • Ability to conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Time management and organizational abilities.
