Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney for their Florham Park, NJ office. The successful candidate will work on cross-office tax and corporate transactional teams, contributing to the firm's legal expertise.

Job Overview:

The Tax Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel on U.S. federal income tax matters, collaborating with cross-functional teams within the firm.

Duties:

• Work collaboratively with cross-office tax and corporate transactional teams.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on U.S. federal income tax matters.
• Conduct research and analysis on tax laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Draft legal documents, including memoranda, opinions, and transactional documents.
• Participate in client meetings and negotiations related to tax matters.
• Stay abreast of developments in tax laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm, specializing in U.S. federal income tax matters.
• Excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and research skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar Association.
