Job Title: Employment Litigation Attorney

Job Location: Denver, CO

Job Overview: A distinguished law firm in Denver is currently seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a background in defending employment civil litigation cases who wish to expand their expertise in a supportive, dynamic environment. The position offers hands-on experience, including client interactions, depositions, court appearances, and business development opportunities. A hybrid working schedule is available following the successful completion of training, offering a mix of in-office and remote work.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment litigation matters, providing effective counsel and strategy.
  • Handle pre-trial discovery, motions, and large document production.
  • Take and defend fact and expert depositions, including expert engagement and preparation.
  • Manage and oversee cases, including meeting with clients and interacting with insurance claims representatives.
  • Participate in mediation, trial, and arbitration, with first-chair experience preferred.
  • Assist in marketing and business development activities.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and manage delegated tasks.
  • Write and draft legal articles, publications, and presentations.
  • Maintain a high level of communication and interaction with clients, insurance representatives, and opposing parties.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.
  • Preferably experienced in employment litigation.
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated case management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to travel as needed for cases.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other essential legal software.
  • Direct client interaction experience, including meetings and interviews.
  • Prior experience managing insurance claims and evaluating case strategy.
  • Experience in pre-trial discovery, motions, and managing large document production matters.
  • Familiarity with first-chair mediation and trial/arbitration preferred.
  • Ability to handle own files and case matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Colorado.

Skills:

  • Strong research and writing capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage legal cases and work collaboratively with teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
