Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Law Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The firm specializes in plaintiff-side employment litigation, providing legal representation to employees across California facing discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, unpaid wages, or hostile work environments.

Duties

  • Represent employees in employment matters including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations.
  • Draft and review legal correspondence and documents with team support.
  • Lead cases from start to finish, including pre-litigation negotiations, mediations, and discovery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal staff.
  • Manage pre-litigation staff and oversee workflows and performance metrics of paralegals.
  • Help scale the employment law practice to meet increasing demand.
  • Advocate for clients who have been wronged in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience practicing employment law (5 years preferred).
  • Ability to manage cases independently from intake through settlement.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, strategy, communication, and time management.
  • Experience handling all aspects of discovery, including depositions.
  • Proficiency in drafting and arguing law and motion matters.
  • Collaborative spirit with a strong work ethic and desire to grow.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • California Bar License.
