A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a skilled Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should have 1-6 years of defense experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or related industries. This role involves handling various employment litigation matters, providing legal counsel to clients, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients in the restaurant, hospitality, and related industries on employment law issues.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolutions of employment disputes.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies and manage caseloads.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of New York in good standing.
  • 1-6 years of defense experience in employment litigation, specifically in restaurants, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Education and Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
