A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Patent Agent specializing in Immunology/Virology with a minimum of 3 years of experience in prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space. The candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology and be admitted to practice before the USPTO.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of immunotherapy, gene therapy, cell therapy, and related areas
  • Respond to office actions and assist in preparing opinions
  • Conduct prior art searches
  • Provide expertise in immunology and virology to support patent prosecution
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop patent strategies
  • Stay updated on relevant legal and scientific developments in the field

 

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology
  • Admission to practice before the USPTO
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience prosecuting patents in immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space
