Private Equity Finance Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Private Equity Finance Attorney for their Dallas, TX office.

Job Overview:

The Private Equity Finance Attorney will handle a diverse array of private equity sponsored financing transactions, encompassing various forms of leveraged financings, loan facilities, and mezzanine credit facilities. The role involves managing closing processes, drafting loan documents, and effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

Duties:

• Work on a broad range of private equity sponsored financing transactions
• Manage closing processes for transactions
• Review and draft loan documents, including commitment letters, term sheets, loan agreements, and collateral documents
• Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly
• Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality work product
• Meet deadlines and expectations while performing required duties
• Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with clients
• Comply with all firm policies and practices
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities required for the role
• Perform any other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in the state of TX
• 1+ years of experience in private equity sponsored leveraged acquisition finance transactions
• Direct and applicable experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC
• J.D. degree

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience with borrower-side representation preferred
• Experience with lender-side representation, especially with private credit lenders, is desired
• Private equity borrower-side representation experience is a plus
