Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm with a focus on transportation defense, corporate law, family law, and real estate is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its defense litigation team in Buffalo, NY. Location:

• Buffalo, New York

Duties:

• Represent corporate and individual clients in civil litigation defense matters

• Handle all aspects of pre-trial litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions

• Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, and correspondence

• Attend court conferences, mediations, and hearings

• Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on litigation strategy

• Maintain communication with clients and insurance representatives

• Support firm initiatives related to pro bono work and community engagement

• Engage in professional development and networking through organizations such as DRI, CLM, and TIDA

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil or defense litigation

• Strong knowledge of New York State civil procedure

• Experience handling transportation, insurance, or personal injury matters is a plus

• Ability to manage caseloads independently while collaborating within a team

• Demonstrated interest in client advocacy and trial preparation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (required)
