The candidate will effectively handle negotiation and settlement discussions, strategize and execute legal cases, argue motions in court, and participate in trials, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions.

 

Duties:

  • Effectively handle negotiation and settlement discussions.
  • Strategize, plan, and execute legal cases.
  • Attend trials, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions.
  • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare witnesses for testimony.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Conduct background research and case development.
  • Stay updated on changing laws and statutes on local, state, and federal levels.
  • Navigate state and federal court systems.
  • Advocate for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Utilize persuasive writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Manage time effectively and maintain strong interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain active membership in good standing with Kansas and Missouri State Bar associations. Other State Bar admissions are a plus (Illinois, California, etc.).

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a senior associate attorney preferred.
  • Active membership in good standing with Kansas and Missouri state bar associations.
  • Additional state bar admissions (such as Illinois, California, etc.) are beneficial.

 

Education:
