A law firm in Denver is seeking an Environmental Litigation Counsel with 10+ years of experience in environmental/toxic torts. The candidate will advocate for clients' rights and deliver outstanding legal services, focusing on environmental law practice and regular litigation in state and federal courts. Responsibilities include managing discovery, drafting legal documents, performing legal research, making court appearances, and contributing to case strategy discussions.

 

Duties:

  • Advocate for clients' rights and deliver outstanding legal services.
  • Focus on environmental law practice and regular litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and analyzing complex documents.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and complex motions.
  • Perform legal research on environmental law and related areas.
  • Make court appearances as necessary.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental/toxic torts preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, and Microsoft Office, and familiarity with e-discovery and law programs such as Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, and FileVine.
