The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, substantial law firm or industry experience, and exceptional writing and communication skills.

Duties:

• Conducting patent preparation and prosecution for medical devices and mechanical engineering innovations.
• Drafting and filing patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Conducting legal research to support patent prosecution efforts.
• Collaborating with inventors, engineers, and legal teams to gather necessary information for patent applications.
• Analyzing and responding to office actions from the USPTO.
• Providing counsel on intellectual property matters related to medical devices and mechanical engineering.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience.
• Admission to the USPTO is required.
