A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for its Washington, D.C. office. The attorney will be responsible for handling complex business litigation matters, with the opportunity to work in various areas such as securities, government contracts, financial services, intellectual property, employment, healthcare, real estate, privacy, cybersecurity, and government investigations. The candidate should have strong writing skills, an outstanding academic background, and clerkship experience is a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex business litigation matters
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Assist in trial preparation and courtroom appearances
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
  • Manage case files and deadlines effectively
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and case law

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the bar in Washington, D.C.
  • 2-4 years of litigation experience
  • Strong complex business litigation skills
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: securities, government contracts, financial services, intellectual property, employment, healthcare, real estate, privacy, cybersecurity, and government investigations
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Excellent academic background
  • Clerkship experience preferred
