A law firm in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate and Transactional Attorney to handle a variety of commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience with transactional commercial real estate matters and possess strong drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate leases, purchase and sale agreements, letters of intent, easements, covenants, restriction agreements, and other commercial real estate documents.
  • Conduct due diligence related to real estate transactions and oversee deals from agreement to closing, including reviewing title and survey reports, tracking critical dates, and preparing closing documents.
  • Facilitate closings and handle post-closing documentation and administration.
  • Draft and review complex operating agreements, bylaws, shareholders' agreements, property management agreements, service level agreements, indemnity agreements, and other client contracts.
  • Coordinate with other team members, including attorneys, paralegals, and staff members.
  • Organize and maintain client files effectively.
  • Provide top-notch service, including responsive guidance to clients and delivering high-quality work products.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to at least one State Bar in the relevant jurisdiction, with the ability to seek admission in Tennessee.
  • 7+ years of experience as an attorney with transactional commercial real estate experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to at least one State Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

 

Skills:

  • Drafting and negotiation skills for commercial real estate transactions.
  • Ability to conduct due diligence and oversee deals from agreement to closing.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills for working with various clients and team members.
