Job Overview:

The General Litigation And Product Liability Attorney will be responsible for handling various aspects of general litigation and product liability cases, including legal analysis, drafting pleadings, attending court appearances, conducting trials, and negotiating settlements. The ideal candidate should have 3-8 years of relevant experience and possess exceptional communication, research, and analytical skills.

Job Details:

  • File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
  • Drafting of pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and other case-related materials
  • Experience with attending depositions, court appearances, motion practice, and mediations
  • Trial preparation and attendance
  • Perform extensive research and provide sound legal advice to clients
  • Expert witness retention and collaboration
  • Negotiate settlements and handle alternative dispute resolutions
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with clients, including complying with all client guidelines
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support team members
  • Ensure all deadlines are met
  • Accurately record and maintain billable hours

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience in handling general litigation and product liability cases
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations
  • Strong and professional communication skills
  • Friendly and outgoing demeanor
  • Ability to handle cases from inception to resolution, independently and with supervision
  • Admitted to practice in the State of New York (NJ, CT and/or PA admission is a plus)
  • Federal Court experience is a plus
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of New York (NJ, CT, and PA admission is a plus)

Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
