A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid- to Senior-level Finance Associate Attorney with 4+ years of law firm experience. The ideal candidate will work within the business group across several offices, specializing in representing lenders and borrowers in diverse and complex financial transactions. The focus will be on financing private equity acquisitions, senior and mezzanine debt transactions, and other sophisticated finance transactions in the middle-market. The candidate should possess prior experience in structuring, documenting, and closing financing transactions in various industries, excellent communication skills, a team-oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with strong credentials.

 

Duties:

  • Represent lenders and borrowers in varied and complex financial transactions.
  • Specialize in the financing of private equity acquisitions and both senior and mezzanine debt transactions.
  • Manage all aspects of finance transactions, including negotiation, documentation, and closing.
  • Work on sophisticated and complex finance transactions on behalf of middle-market clients.
  • Directly interact with clients and participate in business development activities.
  • Collaborate across offices, especially with a busy practice.
  • Receive training opportunities with growing levels of responsibility.
  • Have knowledge and experience with all aspects of complex financing and acquisition transactions on both the borrower and lender sides.
  • Participate in opportunities for advancement, including partnership track, in a collegial environment.

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of law firm experience.
  • Licensed to practice law since 2019 or earlier.
  • Prior experience in structuring, documenting, and closing financing transactions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mentality and a motivated self-starter.
  • Strong credentials in finance law.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admitted to practice law.
