Immigration Attorney - Consular Processing/Waivers

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an admitted attorney for an Associate Consular Processing Attorney position in San Juan, PR. This role offers significant growth potential and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Greater Los Angeles Area. The attorney will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of immigration attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

• Manage workload of CP/Waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa.
• Prepare clients for their consulate interview.
• Represent clients before USCIS.
• Review immigration applications and packets prepared.
• Manage a team of paralegals to meet productivity goals and client expectations.
• Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of immigration law experience.
• Team player open to collaboration and strategizing with associates.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Proven record of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload.
• Experience with consular processing applications and waivers.
• Experience with case management software is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law.
